Admission

Stroll through our 4,000 lavender plants and cut your own bundle of lavender. If you have purchased a cutting ticket, bring your own scissors and baskets! Peak bloom is late June thru early August. However, our 10 lavender varieties will not all bloom at the same time. A lighter second bloom will persist until October.

Please arrive during your time slot.  There will be a lavender talk at the gazebo at quarter past the hour.  This is a rain or shine event.

The $20 Cut Your Own Lavender fee entitles you to cut one bundle of lavender weighing 8oz. If the lavender is unavailable for any reason, your ticket will entitle you to one standard bundle pre-cut of lavender. If you are not interested in cutting the lavender, there is a $5 general admission ticket that allows you to walk the field during the time slot.

To purchase your tickets, you may either select your time and date online, or you may come and buy your ticket at the date when you visit.

  • What should I bring?
Please bring your own bucket and scissors. Wear comfortable shoes, bring some water, and make sure you have your tickets! Bring Cash or Credit Card if you'd like to purchase anything from our Lavender shop.
  • What does my ticket come with?
Each Cut Your Own Lavender Ticket allows you to cut 8 oz. worth of lavender. Additionally, you will be able to enjoy the farm, see the animals, and visit the shop. Each $5 Admission Ticket only covers admission and NOT cutting lavender. If you wish to cut lavender, you can pay an additional $15 for a Cut Your Own Lavender Ticket, which can be purchased online or at the farm.
  • What level of physical activity will be required to visit the farm?
Distances on the farm are far and you should expect to walk over 1,500 feet from the parking area to the gazebo and back. If you anticipate viewing more of the farm, then you can expect to walk much more than that. The farm has uneven ground everywhere and can pose hazards to people that may not have a steady gait. There are no artificial flat surfaces on the farm. This is obviously an outdoor venue with natural features that can pose challenges for some people. The space is also very open and subject to direct sunshine which can get very hot in the summer. Please bring your own hydration or be prepared to purchase some from us. If you choose to participate in Cut Your Own Lavender, then you will need to be able to bend over to ground level in order to cut the lavender. This can be difficult during the summer when it is very hot. Please be prepared for some physical activity when visiting our farm.

  • How do I cut lavender without harming the plant?
You will cut the stalks down to the bushy green part of the plant. Do NOT cut below that where the plant is brown and woody. Take a look at this handout for more information on how to hut the lavender and the different types of lavender. Our lavender talk that happens 15 minutes into the session will also give you instructions.
  • How much lavender can I cut?
You can cut 8 oz of lavender. There is a scale at the gazebo to help guide you. When you are finished cutting, you will take your lavender to our weighing station on the right side of the shop. We will then help you bundle your weighed lavender.
  • Are you open during the week?
No. We are only open on weekends during the days listed on our calender.
  • Can we just come visit the animals without paying an entrance fee?
No, everyone must have an admission ticket for one of our planned events. It is extremely expensive to maintain our lavender gardens and care for our animals and birds. It is imperative that the farm remain a viable agricultural business and therefore everyone should somehow contribute to the maintenance of the farm if you would like to enjoy what we have to offer.
